Hi, I'm Heather Lowe.
Growing up in Wisconsin, alcohol was just part of life. When I moved to Chicago for my corporate career, I believed drinking gave me an edge—and later, that it was the key to surviving motherhood.
The truth? The drinking — and the perfectionism and people-pleasing underneath it — was going to kill me. I knew this in my bones even when my drinking "was not that bad".
In February 2018, I ditched the drink and stopped surviving. I started living the life I'd dreamed of as a child and found the peace, confidence, and purpose alcohol had been standing in the way of.
